What’s hot this summer festival fashion season?

May 17, 2017

Listen up all you party-loving boho beauties, festival time is nearly upon us once again. But there’s no need to dust off the same old mud-stained anoraks and scuffed sunglasses for yet another year, because there’s a bevy of affordable fashion just waiting for you to snap them up.

There will be mud

There are two things that are certainties at any UK festival: 1. It’s bound to rain, rain and then rain some more. 2. Because of the rain, rain and more rain: you’ll need to invest in some comfortable, waterproof (and fashionable, of course) wellies.

Bottle green. The classic staple we all know and love. Not just loved by country farm types, but by celebs like Kate Moss, too.

Bright red. A great way to make sure your must-have mud traps are also a must-have ensemble accessory.

Patterned. Mix up your look with some funky wellies! They’re bright, fresh, you’ll be the envy of fellow revellers and go with almost anything.

Feeling the fringe

To achieve the best “I do festivals all the time and I’ve got the wardrobe to prove it” look, you need to fringe-up, sister!

Waistcoasts. Wear these versatile babies with short, dresses, skirts, long-sleeves, short-sleeves or no sleeves at all!

Boots. If the weather permits you to remove your wellies, fringed boots are a stylish way to keep your feet protected and on-trend.

Skirts. Keep cool while looking hot. Perfect for sunbathing in the day and dancing ‘til dawn.

Flower power

Flower garland headbands are everywhere at the moment, and what better way to channel your inner hippy that popping on one of these pretty accessories – it might even hide some of that built-up grease! Ew.

Small and delicate. Take inspiration from fashionistas and add a girly flourish to any festival get-up with a small and pretty flower garland.

Big and bold. Wear a statement headpiece by teaming with plainer clothes for maximum impact.

Roses. Light up your face with this romantic touch. Now you’re set to stun this summer!
